This initiative is entitled A FRESH START. Improving the nation’s literacy and numeracy skills is naturally one of the Government’s top priorities. I am sure that this curriculum will prove an invaluable tool. It is designed primarily for adults who cannot read nor write, but it will also be highly useful to those who want to build their capacities in different areas of life. A society cannot grow if the literacy and numeracy needs of adults are not tackled.

Adult illiteracy has affected the spreading of the gospel negatively because it hinders the pastors from expressing clearly and comprehensively what the Holy Spirit has put in their mouths. Some technicians and business persons cannot write a comprehensive receipt because they cannot read and write: “buyam sellams”, technicians, petit traders, business persons, etc.

Most people want to start small businesses or common initiative groups but they do not know the creation procedures and even if they try to create one, it ends up closing down because they cannot manage the business well. This program if for you!
